The primary reason that we bought this house over others, was that the quality of the construction and finishes were so far superior to any of the other newly constructed homes in the area that were available. And after living in our home for 12 years, we have never had any reason to change our high opinion on the quality of A.J Kirkegaard and Scott in particular. In addition, we have called Scott on many occasions to ask a question about how something in the house works, or who to contact to have some home project done. About 6 years ago, AJ Kirkegaard began building the "house of our dreams". Within 2 years it was completed and we moved into that house in Feb 2017. It was spectacular. The craftsmanship - exquisite. AJK has marvelous subs; kept to a good schedule, and showed every expense. When we considered a change - AJK would immediately draft a change order. In other words, never any surprises. When people saw our house - they raved about everything. My wife and I built a home in Richmond in 1997 - and said - "never again". I can only thank my architect who highly recommended AJK - along with the neighbors in that neighborhood of Observatory Park in Denver. AJK had a supervisor checking every day. If AJK thought something was "not up to par" - they would redo it and never charge a dime. People say that "building a house" can create tension in a marriage. Ha - that never happened - and it was because of the professionalism of AJK. I would recommend them without hesitation. They are the premier builder in Observatory Park. And - the added benefit - when we decided to sell the house one month ago because of the crazy market, we contracted with AJK since they also have a real estate arm in the company. The benefit - he could get contractors there on a day's notice to fix a few things that needed fixing after 4 years - some stone work - and gutter work (because we had 28 inches of snow 6 weeks ago). They are fabulous.

Jon and Scott are first class gentleman. Jon build our beautiful home some 14 years ago and we love as much now as we did then. The quality and design of the home make it timeless and relevant in our neighborhood. Jon and Scott know south Denver and know how to build a house that you will be proud to call home! They are responsive and simply great guys. If we build another home, they will build it!

From start to finish, building a new home with Scott & Jon was an amazing experience. They are reliable, honest, always on site and were available to us every step of the way. Their craftsmen ship & trades people are talented with outstanding service. They found a solution & had the resources to any issue we faced during construction & the finished product was more than we dreamed would be. Should we decide to build again, hands down, they would be the first call that we would make. While looking at homes in our area, you can easily tell the quality of a home built by AJK.
